Presidio Multi-Strategy Fund (PMSFX)
Market events of recent years have taught investors many valuable lessons about portfolio construction and management. Namely, these events reinforced the importance and need for liquidity in portfolios, highlighted the dangers of leverage, revealed that market ‘tail’ events (volatility spikes) occur more often than one might expect and penalized those portfolios that were complacent and untroubled by warning signs in the financial markets.
In these times of heightened market uncertainty, we see no other way to prudently and sensibly manage money than to build a highly diversified portfolio of assets and strategies. By investing across the global markets and designing PMSFX around a rigorous portfolio construction process we call S4 Layering, we aim to build a durable portfolio that can do well in different market environments and guard against severe market shocks.
Given its diversified structure and targeted low correlation to traditional assets like stocks and bonds, PMSFX is designed to be a complementary addition to an investors’ overall investment program (such as a liquid alternative investment strategy).
